The Silver Heart

The Silver Heart was penned by Samantha Sheridan in the 1990s, utilizing a computer equipped with a floppy disk and a green screen. It began as an endeavor to express her passions for music and horses. Being a hopeless romantic, she found it effortless to weave elements of her upbringing in Ohio into Sue's backdrop. Samantha reminisced about moments by the creek beneath an oak tree, her faithful pony named Mack, and the countless visits to the Ohio State Fair. Initially, just a few pages, the story organically evolved into a full-fledged novel, seemingly taking on a life of its own.
Samantha Sheridan never adheres to a rigid outline for her books; instead, they seem to unfold organically. She attests that the stories write themselves, guiding her along as she simply follows their lead, putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. When editing The Silver Heart, Sheridan found herself deeply moved, even shedding tears alongside her fans at pivotal moments in the narrative. Despite knowing the overarching plot and its conclusion, she became so engrossed in the characters' journey that she couldn't help but empathize with them emotionally, allowing their experiences to resonate deeply within her.

La Donna Brewer-Capps recorded the song "All I Can Do" and it goes so perfectly  with the book.  There times when Sue wonders if Mike is home or is he on the road? Should she call him or drive by and see if he's home.

When Samantha penned The Silver Heart, she crafted a poignant chapter depicting Mike escorting Sue to a dance venue. Within this scene, Sheridan artfully incorporated Lee Gibson as the performer on stage, with his soulful ballad "Long Slow Night" setting the mood as the couple glided onto the dance floor. Notably, "Long Slow Night" is an original composition by Lee Gibson, adding a layer of authenticity and emotion to the narrative.
