A special book signing took place at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, hosted at the Montana Silversmith booth. The timing was perfect, as Pete Oen was in Columbus for the show, making the event even more memorable.

Missy and Trooper were real horses with a special story. Shesa A Two Timin Date, a sorrel mare we purchased, became the cornerstone of this tale. We bred her to a striking black Quarter Horse, and the result was Trooper, officially named Rowdy's Rappn Bar—her remarkable colt.

LaDonna made her mark in Country music at an early age, recording her first album with the Grand Ole Opry Band at just fifteen. As a renowned Country artist, LaDonna has performed at countless prestigious venues and appeared on major TV shows, sharing the stage with legends such as George Jones and Lorrie Morgan. Her collaborations include performances and recordings with iconic artists like The Blues Brothers, Daryle Singletary, Tanya Tucker, Skeeter Davis, Bill Monroe, The Osbourne Brothers, Joanne Cash Yates, Crystal Gayle, Sons of the Desert, and many others.

One of her most memorable career highlights, as she fondly recalls, was performing a duet with Steve Wariner. Additionally, LaDonna’s songwriting talents have left a lasting legacy, with her compositions recorded by chart-topping artists like Merle Haggard, Ron Williams, The Statler Brothers, and Conway Twitty.

"All I Can Do" was one of the songs she was a co-writer on and was perfect for The Silver Heart.
